Bio
Ryan Cyster is a South African actor who was a contestant on the second season of the South African reality travel show Couch Trip, entitled Couch Trip: Western Cape, in 2006.
He also played the role of Clinton Davids in the first episode of the M-Net docu-drama series Crimes Uncovered, in 2012, which dramatized the murder of Brett Goldin and Richard Bloom.
Ryan matriculated from Grassy Park High School in 2000 and attended the Waterfront Theatre School from 2002-2004. He also received a number of certificates from Trinity College in London including a Performer's Certificate in Acting, a Performer's Certificate in Musical Theatre, a Grade 4 in Tap Dancing and a Bronze Level in Jazz.
He also attended the Visual Impact Academy in Cape Town in 2008, where he did an HD Masterclass using the SONY XDCAM in Solid State Workflow, Solid State Production, Solid State Post-Production and Solid State Recording.
He has acted in a number of theatre productions including The Weekend (directed by Irvine van der Merwe), Sailor Beware (directed by Keith Galloway), Everything in the Garden (directed by Ralph Lawson), Rock Evolution, a musical directed by Jason Guile and Gareth Travis and Thandi and Toffie, a children's theatre production directed by Margit Meyer-Rodenbeck and Marinda Engelbrecht.
He also appeared in the feature films Dollars and White Pipes (cirected by Donovan Marsh) and Spoon, directed by Simon Hansen and Sharlto Copley.
Ryan has also acted in a number of industrial theatre presentations for clients including Pep Stores, EDCON, SABC News, BMW, Toyota, Vodacom and The Cape Town Fashion Festival.
He currently resides in Cape Town.
