Marsha Mason is an American actress and television director.
She has won two best actress Golden Globe awards, for Cinderella Liberty (1973) and The Goodbye Girl (1977); the Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy Series (1993) for Cheers; and has had four Oscar nominations - for Cinderella Liberty, The Goodbye Girl, Chapter Two (1979) and Only When I Laugh (1981).
Other films she has appeared in include Heartbreak Ridge (1986), Stella (1990), I Love Trouble (1994), Nick of Time (1995), 2 Days in the Valley (1996), and Bride & Prejudice (2004).
She also had a six-episode recurring role as Sherry Dempsey in the television sitcom Frasier, from 1997-1998.
