Bio
Indira Varma is an English actress best known for her role as Niobe in the period drama television series Rome, from 2005-2007.
She also starred as billionaire philanthropist Ilsa Pucci in the action television series Human Target, from 2010-2011.
Since graduating from London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in 1995, Varma has appeared in many British film and television productions, including Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love, Canterbury Tales, Bride and Prejudice, The Whistleblowers, Moses Jones, Torchwood and Luther.
Varma is familiar to American audiences as Niobe in the critically acclaimed historical drama series Rome. Her additional credits include the feature film 3 lbs. opposite Stanley Tucci, as well as guest-starring roles on Bones and Law & Order: Criminal Intent.
Her theatre credits include Twelfth Night at Wyndham's Theatre, The Vertical Hour at The Royal Court Theatre and The Vortex at Donmar Warehouse, as well as several productions with Harold Pinter both in London and on Broadway.
Varma divides her time between Vancouver and London.
