Orla Brady is an Irish actress known for her extensive television resume, which has included roles in Out of the Blue, Revelations, Shark, Mistresses, Fringe, Banished and American Odyssey.
She appeared in the short-lived American television series Family Law. She has mostly appeared in Irish and British movies and TV programmes, including and especially the BBC's A Love Divided, as Sheila Cloney.
Brady began her career on stage in Dublin and London playing leading roles in plays by, amongst others, Chekhov, Lorca, Synge, Shakespeare, Brian Friel and Stephen Poliakoff.
Her films include A Love Divided, for which she won Best Actress at the Monte Carlo Festival. She also starred in Silent Grace, How About You and 32A and appeared in The Luzhin Defence. She can also be seen in the leading role of pioneering architect and designer Eileen Gray in the film The Prince of Desire.
Brady starred in the successful BBC series Mistresses for its three seasons. Further television credits include BBC's Wallander, The Deep, Pure Wickedness and Out of the Blue, Sky's Strikeback, RTE's Proof and TF1's Jo.
In the US, she has appeared as Elizabeth Bishop in Fringe for FOX, as Claire Stark in Shark for CBS, in Nip/Tuck for FX, and as Sophia Tsaldari in NBC's American Odyssey.
In 2015 she had a starring role as Lydia, Quinn's first wife who is both his fiercest critic and most devoted follower, in the science fiction martial arts action series Into the Badlands.
