Wentworth Miller is a British-born American actor best known for his starring role as Michael Scofield in the action drama television series Prison Break, from 2005-2009.
He made his television debut in an episode of the fantasy drama television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, in which he played Gage Petronzi.
Miller graduated from Princeton University with a degree in English literature and moved to Los Angeles in 1995. There he worked behind the scenes in the development department of a small production company where he soon learned a love for acting.
He has been on a variety of shows including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, ER, Popular and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
His breakthrough role was in the movie staring Anthony Hopkins and Nicole Kidman, The Human Stain, and he later starred opposite Kate Beckinsale in Underworld.
After that, Wentworth soon got his starring role in the television series Prison Break. His performance in the show earned him a Golden Globe nomination, a Saturn award nomination, and three Teen Choice Award nominations.
He was also the voice of EDI in the 2005 film Stealth.
Miller is of African American, Jamaican, English, and German Jewish descent on his father's side, and of Russian, French, Dutch, Syrian and Lebanese descent on his mother's side.
His eyes are different colours. His left eye is green while his right eye is hazel. He is allergic to cats and dogs as well as certain foods.
