Bio
Ryan Hansen is an American actor best known for his role as Dick Casablancas on the teen drama television series Veronica Mars (2004-2007); and as Nolan in the 2009 film Friday the 13th.
He also starred as Ben Lewis, a carefree bachelor on the lookout for a woman who meets his impossible standards, on the short-lived television sitcom Friends with Benefits, in 2011. He also played Kyle in the Starz original comedy series Party Down.
He is probably best known to audiences as Dick Casablancas on the hit show Veronica Mars. Since his work on that series concluded, he has shot leading roles in a number of films including Superhero Movie, Housebroken opposite Danny DeVito, 818 and Friday the 13th.
He reprised his role for the Veronica Mars feature film, which debuted at the 2014 SXSW festival following a fan-driven Kickstarter campaign to fund the movie's production.
Hansen also starred in the online series Rockville, CA created by Josh Schwartz; and the Yahoo! and Red Hour web series Burning Love.
Hansen and his wife, Amy, reside in San Diego and are especially proud of their work with the charity Invisible Children, which helps children in war-torn Northern Uganda.
In 2014 he starred as Joel Kotsky, the school's gym teacher who knows Meredith from high school and is attracted to her despite her obviously questionable motives, in the television sitcom Bad Teacher.
Prior to Bad Teacher, he appeared on television in a recurring role on the CBS comedy 2 Broke Girls. His additional television credits include The League and House of Lies.
Hansen was born in Orange County, California and raised in the San Diego area.
