Of Lebanese and Armenian heritage, MacDissi graduated from the Institut De Beaux Arts before moving to Sweden, where he trained in classical ballet. After relocating to the US at the age of 22, Peter enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in Los Angles.
MacDissi was first seen on HBO's Six Feet Under as tempestuous art teacher Olivier Castro-Staal. In 2003 he acted opposite Gary Oldman, Matthew McConaughey, and Kate Beckinsale in Le Studio Canal+'s feature Tiptoes.
MacDissi's other film work includes Disney's Bad Company, with Anthony Hopkins and Chris Rock, Three Kings starring George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube, and Artisan Entertainment's hilarious mockumentary about a big budget Bible picture gone out of control, The Making of 'And God Spoke,' which had its debut at the Sundance Film Festival.
MacDissi's other notable television appearances include War Stories, The Agency, The X-Files, Zero Effect, JAG and 24.
