Treas, born in Kansas City, Kansas, in the US, is an actress, writer and director. She has starred in films and on television.
She is best known for her role as the newcomer Cathy Frankel on the Fox series Alien Nation from 1989-1990. Alhough the series was cancelled in 1990, Fox brought back Alien Nation in five television movies in which Treas reprised her role.
Her other well-known television roles include the short-lived 1980s series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers as Hannah McFadden from 1982-1983. Her other role was in the short-lived Fox series DEA, and on Santa Barbara as Nancy Webster.
Treas's first movie role was in the 1979 movie All That Jazz. Her other film roles are So Fine (1981), The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas (1982) and House IV (1992).
She directed her first movie in 1992 called Play Nice.
Treas has written some episodes for television and made guest appearances on Knight Rider, Crazy Like a Fox, The A-Team and Roseanne.
