Andrew Lincoln is an English actor best known for his starring role as Rick Grimes in the television horror series The Walking Dead.
His is also known for his roles in the television series This Life (as Egg), Teachers and Afterlife. He also played the roles of Mark in the film Love Actually and Jonathan in the French hit-film, Heartbreaker.
Born 'Clutterbuck' in London, England, Andrew Lincoln grew up in Hull and moved to Bath at the age of 12. After leaving Beechen Secondary, he attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, where he changed his name.
He made his first on-screen appearance in an episode of Drop the Dead Donkey.
Lincoln's voice is familiar in the UK as he provides voice-overs for both television and radio advertising, as well as narration for documentaries.
He rose to fame in the popular British series This Life before starring in Teachers.
His film roles include Human Traffic (1999), Love Actually (2003), Scenes of a Sexual Nature (2006) and These Foolish Things (2006).
