Mary Elizabeth McDonough is an American actress best known for her role as Erin Walton in the television series The Waltons, appearing in 207 episodes from 1972-1981.
Other shows she has appeared in include General Hospital, Hunter, Picket Fences, ER, Ally McBeal, The West Wing, Will & Grace, Boston Legal and The New Adventures Of Old Christine.

McDonough suffers from the disease Lupus, which she blames on leaking silicone breast implants. Her career stuttered in the early nineties as she struggled to find the energy to work - only after Lupus was diagnosed and her implants removed was McDonough able to return to acting.
