Bio
Jay Rodan is a South African actor best known for his role as Paulo Bardosa in the fifth season of the television drama series Footballers' Wives, in 2006.
He was born in South Africa to a Scots father and Afrikaans mother, grew up in the UK and Canada and went to school in Vancouver.
He started acting when he was 16 and joined the Vancouver Youth Theatre. After the release of Nelson Mandela and South Africa's historic first democratic elections he returned to South Africa where he travelled and worked.
He then returned to the UK where he busked in Covent Garden and outside Shakepeare's Globe before getting his first break in the film The Caveman's Valentine starring Samuel L. Jackson.
He went on to appear in the 2001 film The Triumph Of Love and the 2002 Franco Zeffirelli film Callas Forever. Other film credits since include the Napoleon Bonaparte film Monsieur N. (2003) and The Game Of Their Lives. (2005)
On TV he's appeared in the British TV movies The Lost Battalion (2001) and Julius Caesar and in 2006 he was cast in Footballers Wives playing the young footballer stud caught in a catfight between Joan Collins and Zoe Lucker.
