Pat Pillai is a South African television journalist and presenter, social entrepreneur, businessman and former actor best known to television audiences for anchoring and executive producing e.tv's prime time news.
Over the course of his career Pat has performed in theatre, been involved in a travelling community theatre group, worked on the marketing of the SABC, Ster Kinekor and the Civic Theatre and consulted with the media as a business advisor.
He won a Vita Award for his work as a stage actor and appeared in the 1993 film Friends, directed by Elaine Proctor.
As a social entrepreneur, Pat founded Life College 13 years ago – a social enterprise that offers champion mentality, character and leadership education to youth, communities, business and government.
Pat was awarded the Ashoka Fellowship in 2007 for his work at Life College. Ashoka is the global association of the world's leading social entrepreneurs.
