Bio
Sibulele Gcilitshana is a South African actress, dancer and singer best known for her role as Zandi in the SABC1 youth drama series Soul City, from 2005-2008.
She is also known for her starring role as lesbian teacher Beth Mazibuko on the SABC1 drama series Society.
Gcilitshana graduated in 2000 from the Tshwane University of Technology with a National Diploma in Musical Theatre. She was nominated for an FNB Vita Award for Best New Actress in 2002 for The Stadium.
Theatre highlights include: The Stadium; Blow the Whistle; The Bells of Amesfoort; Songs and Tales Dark City; Mother of Rain and True Colours.
Sibu has also gained experience in corporate theatre, videos as well as educational theatre.
Her television highlights include featured roles in Generations, Your Moves and Snitch and her lead roles in Soul City and Society.
She was also featured as a solo singer on Junior Sokhela's album.
In 2009 she played the minor role of Ü Günters Woman in the box office hit science fiction film District 9.
In 2021 she had a starring role in the 1Magic drama series The Station, playing one of four employees who suddenly become shareholders of a filling station.
