Bio
Christopher Egan is an Australian actor best known for his starring television roles as Ben Wilson in Vanished (2006) and as Captain David Shepherd in Kings, in 2009.
A native of Sydney, Australia, Christopher Egan attended high school at Sydney's McDonald College School of Performing Arts and honed his skills at the Sydney Festival Dance School, where he trained in singing, dancing and acting with Kick Performance Group.
He performed in Les Miserables and West Side Story at Sydney's Zenith Theatre and in 1999, at the age of 16, he was cast as Nick Smith in the film version of the Australian series Home and Away entitled Home and Away: Secrets and the City.
After that he had a three-year role on the series Home and Away. In 2001, his portrayal of Nick Smith in this series earned him a nomination for a Logie (the Australian television industry awards) in the category of Most Popular New Talent.
In 2006, he co-starred as Roran in the film Eragon, an adaptation of Christopher Paolini's best-selling novel. Egan has also been featured in the films Resident Evil: Extinction, Alpha Male and Virgin Territory, alongside Mischa Barton and Hayden Christensen in the latter.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2003.
