Jesse Plemons is an American actor best for his role as Landry Clarke, back-up quarterback and best friend to Matt Saracen, in the football drama series Friday Night Lights, from 2006-2011.
Plemons appeared in the Kevin Spacey/Robin Williams ensemble Shrink and the comedy Observe and Report with Seth Rogen.
As those were hitting the screens, he was busy filming Paul, an all-star comedy featuring Jane Lynch, Jason Bateman, Seth Rogan, Kristen Wiig and Simon Pegg.
On the heels of that film, he finished shooting Meeting Spencer, starring opposite Jeffrey Tambor in the title role of Spencer.
On television, Plemons appeared in a two-episode arc in the much-acclaimed crime drama Cold Case, playing a serious young Marine who goes seriously wrong when he murders a fellow cadet.
Other television guest-starring credits have included Grey's Anatomy, Huff, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, The Lyons Den, Judging Amy, The Guardian, Fear Itself, and the pilot with Matthew Modine for Expert Witness.
Additional feature film credits include Like Mike with Bow Wow and Jonathan Lipnicki, Children on Their Birthdays, adapted from the critically acclaimed short story by Truman Capote, as well as When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, The Failures, All the Pretty Horses, and Varsity Blues.
Children On Their Birthdays marked the directorial debut of the Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Mark Medoff (Children Of a Lesser God).
While his career has taken him to the heights of Hollywood, Plemons' feet are firmly planted on the ground at his home in Austin, Texas.
Originally from Mart, Texas, when he is not busy filming, he enjoys playing several sports, being with his family and returning to his Texas roots to write and play music.
