Bio
Judah Friedlander is an American stand-up comedian and actor best known for his role as crass and wisecracking writer Frank on the television comedy series 30 Rock, from 2006-2013.
In 2004, Friedlander was nominated for an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the genuine nerd Toby Radloff in American Splendor. He won Best Supporting Actor at the 2005 Bend Film Festival for his role as Anthony Roskowski in Duane Hopwood.
Movie audiences first got to know him as the Pharmacy Clerk who tries to sell Ben Stiller a whole bunch of Mumm’s (a line he ad-libbed) in Meet the Parents.
In February 2008, he finished filming a supporting role in Darren Aronofsky’s The Wrestler, which debuts in 2009.
Friedlander appeared in several films in 2008, including a lead role in Full Grown Men; supporting roles in Chapter 27 with Jared Leto and Meet Dave with Eddie Murphy; as well as cameos in Feast 2 and Cabin Fever 2.
In addition to his stand-up comedy television appearances, Friedlander has appeared in many television shows, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, and is regularly featured on VH1’s Best Week Ever.
He also starred as the Hug Guy in the classic Dave Matthews Band music video Everyday.
He, along with the 30 Rock cast, was nominated for a 2008 Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
Friedlander is working on a stand-up comedy album, a concert movie and his own film project, tentatively titled World Champion. Despite his busy 30 Rock production schedule, he continues to tour the country with his stand-up comedy act.
