Bio
Chumisa Cosa is a South African actress best known for her role as Pearl Mtshali in the e.tv soccer drama series Shooting Stars, from 2007-2010.
She also starred as Thami, an after school tutor for Sisi (Palesa Ntshihlele), in the SABC1 sitcom Gauteng Maboneng.
Cosa trained in acting under Alison Darcy in 2004 and later took a course called Acting for the Camera with Rudi Trap, in 2007. She furthered her education with a Media Studies course in Boston in 2009.
Her television debut was the role of Innocentia in a 2005 episode of the e.tv sitcom Madam & Eve. Since then she has acted in numerous television series including Going Up Again, Off Trak, Stokvel, Shooting Stars, Rhythm City, Society, Sokhulu & Partners and Gauteng Maboneng.
Her film credits in Mama Jack (2005) and Small King (2007).
She has also acted in a number of theatre productions, including Noseleyibhethile Akakayoji, Gravel Road, Mixed Metaphors, Soundtrak for Life and Beneath Silent Waters.
Cosa has done work for a number of corporate clients as well, including Eskom, Woolworths, Santam and the Western Cape Government.
She is multilingual, speaking English, Xhosa and Zulu.
In 2014 she had a starring role as Angie, Mpho's disapproving best friend, in the eKasi+ sitcom Van 'n Sit.
