Bio
Bajabulile Masombuka was a South African actress and television presenter best known for co-presenting the SABC1 youth magazine show Ses'khona, from 2007-2009.
She has also had small roles in the television series Soul Buddies, Thetha Msawawa and the SABC2 Afrikaans drama series Erfsondes.
Masombuka grew up in Siyabuswa, a small town in KwaNdebele, and is the oldest of three siblings. In 2003 she moved to Pretoria to study and, while at college, she joined the State Theatre and also worked as a packer at a clothing shop.
She was one of 90 people who auditioned for the presenting role on Ses'khona. She replaced Sphiwe Nkosi from the second season onwards, as the show producers wanted to attract minority language Ndebele speakers (Nkosi speaks siSwati).
She died in 2009 shortly after complaining about chest pains. She was 24.
