Bio
Julie Gonzalo is an Argentinian-born American actress best known for her role as Rebecca Sutter, the beautiful and intelligent fiance of Christopher Ewing, in the primetime soap opera Dallas.
She is also known for her roles as Parker Lee in Veronica Mars (2006-2007), as Shelby in A Cinderella Story (2004) and as Maggie Dekker in Eli Stone, from 2008-2009.
Not many actors can say they landed a role on their first movie audition, but that's just what Gonzalo did, and she hasn't ever looked back.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gonzalo moved with her family to Miami Beach at the age of eight.
She began her career in front of the camera as a model, but knew from an early age that what she wanted to do was become an actress.
She studied acting, dance and movement throughout high school, and soon thereafter decided to make the trip to Los Angeles to pursue a career in film and television.
Her first film, the one which she landed on her first film audition ever, was Sony's I'm with Lucy, starring Monica Potter and Gael Garcia Bernal.
She was also seen in fall of 2003 with Lindsay Lohan, Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray in the Disney remake, Freaky Friday.
Recently she starred as Parker on the final season of the critically acclaimed series Veronica Mars. On the big screen, she starred in her first Spanish language film, Ladrón que Roba a Ladrón, in 2007, and in the same year appeared opposite Jonathan Tucket in Cherry Crush.
Other recent big screen appearances include co-starring opposite Diane Lane and Dermot Mulroney in Warner Bros.' Must Love Dogs, Christmas with the Kranks, A Cinderella Story, opposite Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray, and in Fox's Dodgeball as the sweet love interest of Justin Long.
