Bio
Didi Moses is a South African dancer, dance instructor and choreographer specialising in Funk and Commercial Dance.
Didi started dancing at the age of six. Her introduction to the professional stage was in the David Kramer and Taliep Petersen production of District Six Musical, which performed nationally and internationally at the Edinburgh Festival and at the Royal Lyceum Theatre.
As a pre-teen and teenager Didi had formal training in Classical ballet (Royal Academy of Dance with Barbara Holden and Cecchetti as a high school subject from Std. 5 to Matric), Jazz with Christopher Kindo, Tap with Beryl Saaiman and Spanish with Carolina Rosa.
Didi also completed courses in Funk and Hip Hop in the 80's and 90's on her travels around South Africa and Europe. Wherever she performed she used her free time doing classes with various dance instructors.
Here is where she found her true passion - Funk and Commercial Dance.
Didi has performed in and choreographed for cabaret, revues, theatre, opera, musicals, commercials and film. Her dream is to pioneer the biggest dance space in South Africa.
Didi is one of the judges of the South African version of the reality dance competition So You Think You Can Dance, which airs on SABC1 from 9 August, 2008.
