Judy Parfitt is an English actress best known for her role as Lady Catherine de Bourgh in the 1980 television mini-series Pride and Prejudice.
She also stars as Sister Monica Joan in the period drama television series Call the Midwife.
Parfitt has had an extensive career across film, television and theatre. Judy's television roles include The Jewel in the Crown, ER, Funland, Little Dorrit (for which she won a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress) and Just William.
She also appeared in Vera, The Syndicate and Miss Marple.
Her many film credits include A Girl with a Pearl Earring, for which she earned a Best Supporting Actress Bafta Nomination; W.E.; The Moth Diaries; The Bourne Identity; Ever After; Dolores Claiborne; and Wilde.
