Rupert Boneham was a contestant on Survivor: Pearl Islands and Survivor: All-Stars, coming 8th and 4th respectively.
He won one million dollars on Survivor: America's Tribal Council which was a special edition of All-Stars. It followed the Survivor: All-Stars finale in which Amber Brkich won the million dollar prize, and the prize was decided by viewer voting.
Boneham polled a massive 85 percent of the votes.
He returned to the show in 2009 to compete in the 20th season, Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains.
Born in Detroit, Boneham moved with his parents at a young age to Indiana where he eventually attended Haworth High School in Kokomo. He then moved to Texas to study nursing at Cisco Junior College and San Angelo University.
He used his Survivor winnings to buy a home, set up a college fund for his daughter, pay off his and his mother's debts and start Rupert's Kids, a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping troubled teens, especially those mired in the juvenile court system.
He also aquired an acting agent and had guest appearances in the television shows Half & Half and Yes, Dear. In 2006 he appeared in the feature film Open Mic'rs.
Rupert and his wife, Laura have one four-year-old daughter, Raya (b. 13 May, 1999).
