Tara Fields, PhD, is a licensed marriage and family therapist best known for her appearances on the reality television series Intervention, since 2005.
Fields has 20 years of experience in the "family systems" approach to dealing with addiction. She is widely recognised for her ability to provide workable solutions to real-life problems.
Fields has been a keynote speaker, workshop leader, and panel moderator for such organizations as the Commonwealth Club of California, Northern California Radio and Television News Directors Convention, and American Women in Radio and Television.
She has covered a range of topics, from the psychology of celebrity stalkers to the ethics of talk TV and radio.
Fields earned her master's degree in Psychology from Antioch University. She did her internship at the Maple Center Clinic in Beverly Hills where she focused on adolescent, family, and child psychotherapy; her clinical training included counseling students at Beverly Hills High School.
Fields received her MFCC license and started a practice in West Los Angeles. Two years later, she went back to graduate school to complete her doctorate degree in Psychology and thesis on adolescents and alcohol abuse.
