Q&A
Profession
Working at Gospel Direct (East Rand Mall).
Why do you want to sing Gospel?
Because it’s my way of thanking God for all he has done for me.
Who is your favourite Gospel local artist?
Benjamin Dube.
What will you do with the R100,000 if you win?
I would put it into a production of a Live performance Worship album like Hillsong.
What will be different that you want to bring if you win the recording album?
I will bring myself in the album; I will write my songs and not reproduce old hymns, it will be my personal feeling with God.
What don’t people know about you?
I enjoy cleaning the house.
Who inspires you?
My mother, she is a pastor and has gone through a lot - her life is a testimony for me.
What has been your most difficult thing you had to overcome?
It is the love for music. I used to just see myself singing - I had to overcome the need to be a musician so that I can be who God wants me to be.
Who/what makes you happy?
My family when we are close (spending time together, immediate family meetings catch up on each other personal life.)
What’s your favourite meal?
Healthy meals, muesli, yoghurt and fresh salad.
If you had to send a message to Lindelani what would it be?
"Dear Mr. Mkhize, when you are making your choice be aware of not only the talent and the voice but also the person from which the voice is coming from. Gospel is about the life the person is living."
What’s your message to your soon to be fans?
"Be drawn to God, not the voice."
