Max Martini is an American actor best known for his roles as Corporal Fred Henderson in Saving Private Ryan, Wiley in Level 9, First Sergeant Sid Wojo in The Great Raid and Master Sergeant Mack Gerhardt on the military television drama, The Unit.
His other feature film credits include Contact, The Great Raid, Backroads, Tail Lights Fade, Desert Son, Cement, Conversations in Limbo, Pictures of Baby Jane Doe, Repossessed and Paramedics.
Martini's television credits include the series Breaking News, Level 9, Harsh Realm and These Arms of Mine. He has made guest appearances on Numb3rs, CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Nash Bridges, Walker, Texas Ranger, 24, The Division, DaVinci's Inquest, Mysterious Ways, The Outer Limits, The Pretender, Profiler and The Hunger.
His television movie credits include Silver Bells, Caught in the Act, Try to Remember, Another Day, Love Lessons, Mutiny, Vendetta: Secrets of a Mafia Bride, Vendetta, Hero in the Family, The Glitter Dome and Bret Maverick.
He has a starring role is in the trilogy Fifty Shades of Grey and performed alongside Tom Hanks in Paul Greengrass' Academy Award-nominated film Captain Phillips. In 2013, he starred in Guillermo del Toro's Pacific Rim.
In April 2014, Martini appeared in David Ayer's Sabotage, with Mireille Enos and Sam Worthington. Additionally, he gained recognition for his work in both David Mamet's feature Redbelt and the CBS series The Unit.
He also appeared in Luc Besson's Colombiana; John Dahl's The Great Raid; Robert Zemeckis' feature Contact and Steven Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan.
He was born in Woodstock, New York and currently resides in Los Angeles.
