Dylan Minnette is an American actor best known for his starring role as Clay Handarko in the television drama series Saving Grace (2007-2010), winning the 2008 Young Artist award for Best Performance in a TV Series - Young Actor Ten or Under for his role in the show.
He also had a starring role as Rex, Detective Michael Britton's (Jason Isaacs) son, who - in one of Michael's worlds - is dealing with the loss of his mother after a tragic car accident, on the police procedural fantasy drama television series Awake, in 2012.
Minette was born addicted to performing. At the age of six he booked his first job, a Sears print ad, after begging his parents to let him audition.
He is also known for his memorable performance as an earless patient who befriends Dr. Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) on Grey's Anatomy, and for his recurring role on Lost as Jack Shephard's (Matthew Fox) son. Minette also recurred on TNT's hit show Men of a Certain Age.
Minette appeared in Let Me In, which earned him rave reviews for his performance. His additional film credits include the Warner Brothers feature The Clique.
Along with his acting career, Minette also performs in a band called The Feaver.
Minette was born in Evansville, Indiana, and now resides in Los Angeles with his parents.
