Bio
Josh Temple is an American actor and television presenter best known for hosting the docu-reality series America's Toughest Jobs (2008), Disaster House (2009-2010) and House Crashers, from 2009-2012.
He has a B.A. degree in history from U.C. Santa Barbara and worked in construction for seven years. In addition, Josh has been a golf instructor, high-school soccer coach, camp counselor and bartender.
Josh has skydived in the Hunter Valley, outside Sydney, Australia; rafted down the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe (and bungee-jumped over Victoria Falls); and shot 74 at the St. Andrews Golf Course in Scotland.
In 1995, Josh started doing improv with Bay Area Theatresports in San Francisco. From that experience he was able to move off-stage and onto television and film to do mostly commercials and voice-over work.
He moved to Los Angeles in 2000 and studied and performed at the Groundlings.
Josh has had cameo roles on the television comedies Will & Grace and Curb Your Enthusiasm. The latter uses an improvised format and is one of his all-time favourite shows.
In 2003 Josh hosted his first show, The Ultimate Treehouse, for Discovery Channel. Discovery later hired him to do 20 episodes of Dude Room, a reality build show.
He’s also co-hosted a show called Gear Tech with his sister and worked on The Visitors for Country Music Television. In also he hosts The Clubhouse, a golf show for Resort and Spa Network.
In 2007 he hosted the reality makeover show Backyard Nation and in 2008 began hosting America's Toughest Jobs.
