Bio
Ben Miller is an English comedian, director and actor best known for his comedy partnership with Andrew Armstrong, which included the comedy television series Armstrong and Miller, from 1997-2001.
He also starred as Detective Inspector Richard Poole, a British inspector assigned to the fictional Caribbean island of Saint-Marie to investigate the previous inspector's murder and ends up staying on as a local detective, in the comedy-drama police procedural television series Death in Paradise, from 2011-2013.
Ben went to Cambridge University before deciding to change direction and take up acting.
He is best known for the Worst Week Of My Life (BBC) and his long-running sketch show Armstrong And Miller (Channel 4) as well as an extensive list of other programmes such as French And Saunders (BBC), Saturday Live (LWT), Doc Martin (ITV), and recently Miss Marple – The Body In The Library (ITV).
His film credits include: Razzle Dazzle (Wild Eddie Films), The Prince And Me (Paramount) and Johnny English (Working Title).
Ben is also co-founder of Panic Theatre Company, whose productions have included: Julius Caesar (UK tour), 'Tis Pity She's A Whore (UK tour) and One Hour Show (Cambridge Festival).
