Bio
Jeremy Guilbaut is a Canadian actor best known for his television drama roles as Derek MacMahon in Edgemont High (2001-2005) and as Andrew Vanderlee in The Guard, from 2008-2009.
Guilbaut began his acting career at the age of nine, while attending a French immersion elementary school. He continued to act throughout high school, performing in several plays including Private Wars, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Fiddler on the Roof.
He was first introduced to acting for film and television through the former noted children’s talent agent, Carole Tarlington. Guilbaut landed his first series regular role on the show Daring and Grace while attending university.
Upon completion of that series, Guilbaut went on to secure another recurring role on the CBC series Edgemont High.
Guilbaut has since appeared in numerous productions including Tru Calling and Higher Ground as well as supporting roles in the PAX movie of the week, The Miracle of the Cards and the ABC production The Perfect Body.
In 2003 Guilbaut was nominated for a Leo Award for his performance in The Snow Queen, a mini-series for Hallmark in which he starred opposite Bridget Fonda.
He played the role of Lt. Joe 'Hammerhead' Palladino in two episodes of the second season of the reimagined sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica, in 2005.
