Bio
Christopher Titus is an American comedian and actor best known for his eponymous role in the television comedy series Titus, from 2000-2002.
After years of experimentation with dark and personal storytelling, he debuted his one-man show, Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding, at The Hudson Theatre in Los Angeles. The packed house gave him a standing ovation.
Already a standout at the 1996, 1997 and 1999 Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, in 2000 Titus brought Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding to the Festival for a sold-out run at the prestigious Centaur Theatre.
Titus' television stand-up includes two cable specials, Norman Rockwell is Bleeding for Showtime (2004) and The 5th Annual End of the World Tour for Comedy Central (2007), as well as regular appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.
He has guest-hosted Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, USO Comedy Tour and Friday Night Stand-Up, Good Day LA, E!'s Talk Soup and VH1's Dashboard Dreams.
Titus was the star, executive producer and co-creator of the hit sitcom Titus, a dark comedy based on Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding, which ran from 2000-2002. Time Magazine called him brutal, hilarious and audacious, while Newsday called him TV's most original comic voice since Seinfeld.
After it finished its run, Titus starred in a futuristic one-hour pilot entitled Future Tense and Special Unit, a pilot he created for Comedy Central as a new star vehicle for himself.
He has had writer/producer deals with NBC/Universal, Showtime and Comedy Central.
The 5th Annual End of the World Tour was released on Comedy Central Records in March 2007. He also starred in the 3-D horror film Scar and the 2007 indie film Remarkable Power.
From 2007-2008 he had a starring role in the drama series Big Shots, which was cancelled after 11 episodes.
