Miss SA Bio
Bridgette was born in Oranjemund, Namibia and grew up on a farm in Stellenbosch, Cape Town. She is 23 years old and has a degree in Social Dynamics and completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing.
She is an avid supporter of the South African Bone Marrow Registry, the Sunflower Fund and is also an on-line UN Volunteer. Bridgette enjoys hobbies such as fly-fishing, hiking and target shooting.
Bridgette dislikes pretentiousness, arrogance, selfishness and people who are self-righteous.
Bridgette feels the greatest challenge for South African women today is overcoming violence and rape. She would like to work towards educating the youth to realise the value of women and also she would like to help those who have endured rape or violence.
One of her favourite places to go is De Hoop Nature Reserve - Bridgette loves to sit on the dunes and look out to sea for hours.
She doesn't think South Africans realise how beautiful the country is, as well as how fortunate we are to have space, an incredible climate and cultural diversity.
