Kai Owen is a Welsh actor best known for his role as Rhys Williams, Gwen Cooper's loyal and
loving husband, in the science fiction television series Torchwood, from 2006-2011.
Owen's extensive television credits include Being Human, Pobol Y Cwm, Torchwood, Rocketman, A Bit of a State, A Bit of a State, Casualty, Fun At The Funeral Parlour and Treflan.
Owen has spent several years in British theatre with credits including West End theatre's production of Ying Tong a Walk With.
He has been seen in Theatr Clwyd performances of A Chorus of Disapproval, Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog, Silas Marner, Word For Word, Wind in the Willow, The Secret, Accidental Death of an Anarchist, Under Milkwood, Twelfth Night, Rape Of The Fair County, and Song Of The Earth.
Other theatre credits include Life of Ronnie...and Ryan (Sgript Cymru), Ying Tong (Hampstead), Blue Remembered Hills (Torch Theater), and Richard III (Stafford Castle) and Close Quarters.
