Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive is a British comedy television series produced by Jones the Film which concerns the making of a comedy panel game show called Annually Retentive, themed around historical events, and hosted by Rob Brydon.
The show is deliberately parodic, as Brydon plays a hyper-realised (and exaggeratedly nasty) version of himself.
The series originally aired in the UK on BBC Three from 11 July, 2006 to 4 June, 2007. There are six half-hour episodes in two seasons.
Rob Brydon's Annually Retentive premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Entertainment channel on Tuesday 12 May 2009, at 20h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
Season 2 premiered on BBC Entertainment on Thursday 24 September 2009, at 21h00. New episodes air weekly. There are six episodes in the second and final season.

Synopsis
Annually Retentive takes viewers behind the scenes of Rob Brydon’s generic, tired and wholly unoriginal comedy panel show, in which he shares all manner of ‘spontaneous’ comedy moments with team captains Dave Gorman and Jane Moore.
Brydon plays a reluctant host of a history-based panel show, Annually Retentive. Is he reluctant because he believes panel shows are beneath him, or because it’s the only job he can get in TV since the acting work dried up?
Regular celebrity guests attend the show, but how will they fare?
Celebrity guests include Gail Porter, Alistair McGowan, David Walliams, Alexei Sayle, Sir Elton John, Jonathan Ross, Russell Brand, Omid Djalili and Rhys Ifans.
