League of Glory is a South African television drama series produced by Waterfront Television (formerly known as Fremantle Media) and directed by Darryl Roodt and Regardt van der Berg about three young boys from different backgrounds who forge a friendship through soccer and triumph over their fears.
The series premiered on M-Net on Wednesday 5 May 2010, at 19h30. New episodes air weekly. There are 13 hour-long episodes in the first season.

Synopsis
The year 2010 will see the dreams of many culminate in the greatest sporting event that Africa has ever hosted – the Soccer World Cup.
League of Glory tells the story of the dreams and aspirations of three young boys from the Stellenbosch area in South Africa as they move into manhood.
Jonathan Grant, Kaiser Sigcau and Luke Jantjes were born into very different worlds, but through soccer they forge a friendship that will carry them into adulthood and beyond.
It is an inspirational story of their triumph over adversity as we see each boy face his fears and in so doing, show admirable qualities of the human spirit.
The heart of the series deals with the issues and conflicts within the Grant, Jantjes and Sicgau families. Each of the 13 episodes is packed with high drama and incident as the boys deal with life and its many curve-balls.
We look deep into the heart of each boy as they face their individual challenges. We also get to know all the characters who influence them in their choices - parents, girlfriends, and their soccer coach.
Jonathan, born into a privileged family, must find the courage to stand up to his powerful mother and live his own life, as opposed to that which she has mapped out for him. Soccer is the one place where he is accepted on his own terms and not for his family name and so this is where his dreams are focused.
Luke is the joker in the pack who would like to be taken more seriously by the world. He has the perfect opportunity for this when his father goes into kidney failure and Luke can save his life by becoming the organ donor. But first he must overcome vehement opposition from his mother.
Kaiser is a young man prone to anger, who faces the greatest challenge of his life when he is wrongfully accused of a crime at the university where he is studying and is forced to leave. How he responds to this will determine the course of the rest of his life.
The three boys play for a township soccer club that has been assigned an ex-Bafana player as their coach during the run-up to the competition. He plays a major role in their lives as they shoot for the big time.
