About the Show

The Hour is a Canadian late-night television talk show hosted by George Stroumboulopoulos in which he interviews politicians, newsmakers, sports heroes, activists, rock stars and Hollywood A-listers and satirises the entertainment industry.

The show premiered in Canada on CBC on 17 January, 2005.

The Hour aired in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel from 10 July, 2010 to 1 January, 2011, on Saturdays at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly and only the first season aired in South Africa. There are 26 hour-long episodes in the first season.
