Casper de Vries: Mondig is a South African television comedy special featuring comedian Casper de Vries delivering material from his one-man show he performed in 2007, which was subsequently released on DVD in 2008.
The special aired on DStv's Comedy Central channel on Monday 13 May 2013, at 20h30. It is 90 minutes long.
Synopsis
Comedy Central presents Casper de Vries' Afrikaans stand-up special, Mondig ("21st Birthday"), a celebration of De Vries' 21 years on stage and television.
De Vries reminisces on his career and personal life milestones through visually appealing photography, videos and on-stage props.
Casper has entertained one and all for the last 21 years of stage and television. In celebration of this successful and long-term career he proudly presents his latest show: Mondig.
In this show can you see Casper at his best - expect razor-sharp commentary on current topics supplemented by flashbacks of Casper's life and career, with the help of good multimedia (music, photography, videos and props) - a colourful, interesting journey through 21 years of wit and satire.
All the favourite characters are there - the 88-year-old Oom Kallie Marie, Patience, camp Montelle, dumb Blertsie, Hanno Gelderblom and Casper's old henchman Greetje Appelmoes.
Mondig may not be meant for sensitive souls, but Casper's fans will laugh until they cry.
