Doom is a 2005 movie adaptation of the popular Doom series of video games produced by id Software. It was directed by Andrzej Bartkowiak.
Doom stars The Rock as the tough leader of a platoon of space marines, much like the present marines only with bigger guns, better uniforms and enough attitude to fill a school for delinquents.
The platoon is called into action when a research station on Mars loses contact. Something's gone hideously wrong and it's their job to find out what.
There are two problems - the first is that the research centre was carrying out experiments on humans involving the missing 10 percent of our gene code.
The second problem is that the platoon's marching headlong into a potential massacre, by a horde of the experiment's guinea pigs.
And they don't like being petted!
