Season 1
The Sutton family is thrown for a loop when Eddie Sutton, an ambitious police officer, decides to move his wife and three kids to the inner-city neighbourhood where he was raised.
With hopes of cleaning it up and making a difference, Eddie convinces his wife Jenn and their kids to give the move a chance.
But when the neighbourhood proves to be uninviting and dangerous, Eddie finds himself constantly second guessing whether his decision was a selfish one.
Though the neighbourhood is filled with drugs, gang violence and crime, together the Suttons deal with the trials and tribulations of living in the inner-city.
Season 2
In Season 2: It's hot, sultry. The air is filled with electricity. One spark could set everything off. There is no telling where things may lead. At least between Cassie and Charles.
Everyone in Lincoln Heights knows where the gangs are headed — into a downward spiral.
Will they take the neighbourhood with them as they terrorise each other? Or will Eddie and Lund be able to bring peace?
Season 3
In Season 3 the Suttons are faced with new challenges. Eddie is injured in the line of duty and is homebound for a while, which he embraces by trying to cook for the family and enlisting new rules for the kids, much to their chagrin.
Jenn finds herself leaving the hospital to work in the local clinic, all while balancing her busy home life.
Cassie and Charles’ romance heats up after being on hold for the summer while she was away at art camp. Cassie starts working at Revolution Coffee Spot, and meets Luc, the manager and artist who sparks her passion for art and brings out Charles’ jealous side.
Tay and Lizzie are finding their way as pre-teens dealing with peer pressure and possible budding romances and Eddie’s partner Lund is surprised when his wild teenage daughter, Sage, comes to live with him and turns his bachelor world upside down.
Season 4
Season 4 starts off with the aftermath of the earthquake. It's been five months since the earthquake left Lincoln Heights devastated, and the Suttons are temporarily housed in a FEMA apartment but are preparing to move.
Jenn's dad, Coleman, has offered to pay the down-payment on a new house in a better neighbourhood along with their repair bills on their house to get them out of Lincoln Heights.
The police show up at school to question Charles and Cassie as to the real cause of Mac's death in the earthquake, and they end up having mismatching stories, causing the cops to dig deeper.
Charles is also still hiding the money from the Sutton's attic causing him to be on edge throughout the process.
Eddie is concerned that Charles is taking his daughter down a dangerous path, and Cassie feels pressure to choose between her relationship and her family.
Can The Suttons keep their family together in the midst of these challenges?
