Dead Places is a South African paranormal drama series in which an author haunted by his sister's death as a child returns to South Africa to investigate a series of supernatural occurrences for his new book.
The show follows the ghostly adventures of Will (Anthony Oseyemi), Kelly (Shamilla Miller) and Joe (Rea Rangaka), an unlikely trio who go on the hunt for supernatural entities.
Will secretly begins his own investigation into the death of his sister in a water canal 20 years ago, with every episode leading him closer to the truth of what happened all those years ago.
The series was shot in 50 locations across South Africa including Cape Town, Johannesburg, the Cradle of Humankind and Thabazimbi.
Dead Places was created, written and directed by Gareth Crocker and produced by Motion Story.
The series producer is Phillip Wolmarans, with executive producers Chris Lawrance and Colleen Lawrance.
