Fatal Seduction is a South African drama series which revolves around a married professor who is pulled into a passionate affair with a younger man, uncovering a path of tragedy and betrayal from those closest to her.
The tale tells of secretive desires and hidden passions which explode when Nandi (Kgomotso Christopher) spends a life-altering weekend away from her husband, Leonard (Thapelo Mokoena) and discovers how far she is willing to go to release her inhibitions.
She meets alluring tempter Jacob (Prince Grootboom), who ignites her deepest passions, causing her to question the truth about those close to her as past lies and secrets slowly creep to the surface.
Very quickly, tragedy ensues and Nandi's world crumbles around her.
What follows is the unraveling of hidden intentions, which sets off a chain reaction with powerful results.
Tangled into this web of intrigue and betrayal are Nandi's best friend Brenda (Lunathi Mampofu); the mysterious stranger Jacob (Prince Grootboom); Vuyo (Nat Ramabulana), a private investigator and Leonard's brother who is on a quest for redemption; and Zinhle (Ngele Ramulondi) and Laura (Frances Sholto-Douglas), who are both figuring out the dynamics of their friendship.
Fatal Seduction is based on the Mexican drama series Dark Desire created by Leticia López Margalli and is produced locally by Ochre Moving Pictures with executive producers Robbie Thorpe, Stan Joseph and Lodi Matsetela.
