Mzee wa Two Six is a South African television sitcom created by Richard Beynon and Kenneth Nkosi about a 32-year-old former scooter delivery boy (for a neighbourhood pharmacy) masquerading as a millionaire tycoon, M.Z. Radebe.
Mzee, as he is known, is a complex mixture of honour, geniality, cunning, intelligence and naiveté, and has an overwhelming desire to do the right thing.
With a strong desire to take advantage of any given situation, he constantly finds himself battling to recognise exactly what the right thing is.
The sitcom features Kenneth Nkosi as Mzee. The supporting cast includes Hamilton Dhlamini as businessman Korea, Kholofelo Kola as Mzee's mate Sporo, Angela de Villiers as socialite Roux-Che, Ruth Cele as Ma Griza and Zukisa Matola as Fix.
Mzee wa Two Six was produced by Endemol, with Gray Hofmeyr as executive producer and Kenneth Nkosi serving as associate producer. Richard Beynon was the head writer and co-created the series with Kenneth Nkosi. Peter Se-Puma directed the pilot episode.
