Synopsis
What would happen if Mum downed tools, packed her bags and went off to a health spa leaving dad in charge of the house... and the kids?
Would there be chaos or would dad rise to the challenge, change the nappies, cook the fish fingers and do the laundry without putting red socks in with the whites? If mum goes on strike will dad cope?
This series puts these naïve fathers in the hot seat and tests their ability, knowledge and endurance when left to look after their children and complete all the household duties on their own.
In each episode, two mums pack up their things and move out of the family home for a week, leaving two spectacularly inept Dads to look after the kids. Dad stays at home, mum stays in a luxury health spa.
The mothers get to watch in disbelief as their husbands make a mockery of parenting – forgetting to feed the children meals, or very poor attempts at cooking their own, debacles with the school timetables and online grocery shopping.
We see these fathers face up to the challenge and begin to understand why Mum always need an afternoon nap.
