Season 1
What's a teenage girl to do when her widowed father takes off to live in Japan? Move in with her straitlaced sister and wreak havoc.
Holly Tyler is boisterous, vibrant and a sparked livewire. Her older sister Valerie is organised, straightlaced and staid. When their dad moves to Japan, Holly is sent to live with her sister in New York...
Just when Valerie thought she had the perfect life - a promising career in public relations, her own Upper West Side apartment and plenty of eligible men to date - everything is thrown into complete turmoil with the arrival of her younger sister Holly.
This new life is going to take a lot of getting used to - for both of them.
With Holly's antics turning Valerie's regimented life upside down, it's a good thing these mismatched siblings love each other.
Season 2
This season, Holly and Henry will face the first test of their relationship when she develops a crush on Vince, the handsome bike messenger who often shows up at their door.
Holly's obvious attraction to this slightly older man will pose a real threat to Henry.
Their apartment has always been a second home to their friends, especially Holly's longtime pal Gary Thorpe.
Season 3
This season, Holly returns from her summer adventure with the kind of boyfriend every 18-year-old girl dreams of a hot European rock star named Ben - much to the dismay of a totally shocked Henry and Vince.
Gary, who is now sharing an apartment with Vince, will also find a new romance this season when he meets a beautiful young dancer.
Val faces the most romantic development of all when she and Rick become engaged.
Season 4
Holly and Val are back trying to make sense of their lives in the big city, and the men it brings...
And the end of Season 3, Holly had decided that when all was said and done she really was in love with Vince and that she had to tell him straight away.
Unfortunately for her, Vince decided that he just couldn't deal with Holly's indecisiveness and packed up his car to drive to LA. With Holly hiding in the back seat. And beautiful blonde Ricki in the front.
Val wasn't doing too well romantically either. Her marriage to Rick fell apart before the "I dos" when she found out he was still seeing his former fiancé. And then she woke up married to the plumber.
Season 4 opens with Holly in Florida determiend to convince Vince of her love. Val wakes up to find she'd only dreamed of being married to the plumber. She's married to someone else...
