This is Not My Life is a New Zealand science fiction mystery thriller television series written by Rachel Lang and Gavin Strawhan and set in the fictional town of Waimoana which centres on a man, Alec Ross, who awakes one morning to find that he doesn't know who or where he is and doesn't recognise his wife or children.
He sets out on a mission to find the truth of where he comes from and what the real truth is behind Waimoana.
The series aired in New Zealand on TV One from 22 July to 14 October, 2010. There are 13 hour-long episodes in the series.
This is Not My Life premiered in South Africa on DStv's M-Net Series channel on Wednesday 13 April 2011, at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly.

Synopsis
In the peaceful, leafy New Zealand suburb of Waimoana, a man wakes up in a lovely home, to his lovely wife and children.
The only problem is that he can't remember anything. Not who he is, ever having a wife and kids, not even his own name. The people around him call him Alec Ross, but he only has their word for that.
Setting out to discover what's going on, he stumbles upon the truth – this is not his life.
Now he must try and unravel the mystery of Waimoana.
