Synopsis
Culinary curmudgeon Gordon Ramsay hits the road to explore new kinds of cuisine unfamiliar not only to most members of the viewing audience, but to the renowned chef himself.
In the first season, Ramsay explores the culinary traditions of India, whips up some curry and samples the vegetarian lifestyle.
Subsequent episodes include the crusty cook exploring Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand, as he tries his hand at exotic delicacies that can only be found in these Southeast Asian locales.
Tarantula, anyone?
In the show's second season, the famed chef expands his horizons to other areas of Southeast Asia - exploring the regional cuisine in Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand.
But he's Gordon Ramsay, so he doesn't just taste the food - he also prepares dishes using the delicacies that aren't found in many other parts of the world.
The experience leads to Ramsay reviewing his own relationship with food and his opinion of what is - and is not - acceptable to eat.
