Elise Elliott, Brenda Cushman, Annie Paradis and Cynthia Griffin were best friends during their college days back in the 60s. They all left college and got married and had children, which forced them to drift apart.
In the present day Cynthia commits suicide after her husband tells her he is divorcing her for a younger woman.
The remaining three friends reunite at her funeral and go out for lunch afterwards. While dining they discover that they all have the same thing in common: their husbands are divorcing them too, and just like Cynthia's ex-husband are shacking up with younger women.
All of them had helped their husbands in their careers, and they decide to get revenge by ruining those careers.
Brenda exposes Morty's income tax fraud, Elise reveals that Bill's mistress is a minor and Annie buys out Aaron's advertising business.
