Set in a small psychotherapy centre owned by counsellor Kate Salinger, Kiss Me Kate is about the complex goings-on in the professional and personal lives of the office staff.
Kate and co-therapist Douglas are worlds apart - she is sensible and down-to-earth while he is a walking bag of nerves and insecurities.
Perky secretary Mel is the company secretary and rounding out the cast of oddballs is Craig, the travel agent from downstairs.
Craig - not the brightest pin in the basket - first spends his time wooing Kate, who rejects his advances unwittingly, then with rather more success he woos Mel and the two become an item.
Douglas is silently in love with Kate but cannot bring himself to be direct with her about it. She falls for his brother Iain (played by Bill Nighy) in a season three instead.
The series was originally broadcast on the BBC and ran from 1998 - 2000, three seasons in total.
