Synopsis
Pittsburgh, 1990s. The local TV news was dominated by one team: Chuck Darling and Kelly Carr.
On-screen they had the chemistry it took to be the best of the best. But off-screen, Chuck was an egomaniac and notorious womaniser, while Kelly was an uptight know-it-all.
When Chuck was called up to do bigger and better things, he and Kelly departed without one tear shed.
After an embarrassing tirade ends up broadcast all over the Internet, Chuck finds himself out of his high-powered newscast job and on a downward spiral, leading him to wonder if his womanizing ways are as exciting as they once used to be.
Upon his return to Pittsburgh, he and Kelly reunite to try to take back their former TV newscast glory.
There, Chuck has to readjust to some new faces, including Montana Diaz Herrera, the sexy yet inept weather woman; and Ryan Church, the overworked and overstressed director.
Chuck is reunited with old co-workers, including Marsh McGinley, the sports anchor; and Gary Crezyzewski, the field reporter.
Now that Chuck has returned, can he and Kelly find the magic they once had?
