Mummy Forensics is a British docu-reality television series made by AETN International for The History Channel which follows Dr. Joann Fletcher and the York University Mummy Investigation Team as they decipher the ancient mysteries surrounding mummies who died thousands of years ago.
The series originally premiered in the UK on the History Channel on 2 March, 2008. There are six hour-long episodes in the series.
Mummy Forensics premiered in South Africa on DStv's The History Channel on Monday 5 May 2008, at 20h30.
Synopsis
Combining modern forensic techniques with their experience in archaeology and mummies, York University's Mummy Investigation Team investigates six different Mummies found languishing around the UK.
Discoveries include finding a new member of the ancient Egyptian royal family, solving a 3,000-year old crime and discovering a brutal double murder.
