Married in A Flash is a South African wedding reality series in which couples who have been in a longterm relationship or who are engaged are given a limited amount of time and a budget of R75,000 to creatively plan and execute their wedding.
The cameras follow the couples from the day they are given the money, planning what they can and can't afford, what they can achieve in a week, who will make the guest list and who will be chopped, delegating the to-do-list and finally the wedding day.
The couples receive three days to plan their weddings and on the fourth day they get married. This is their wish come true but - can they get it together long enough to make it down the aisle and be married in a flash?
The series premiere features Sheila and Mark, who met on a dating app - and it was love at first swipe. Mark insisted on getting married at court but Sheila wanted her dream wedding, so Married in A Flash came through to make their dream come true.
Married in A Flash is executive produced by Basetsana Kumalo and Clifford Elk, with producer Nomusa Nzima, for Connect TV.
